San Diego at Night : October 27th, 2007 From Coronado. San Diego Skyline. The wildfires of 2007 are still burning and the air is heavy with the ash from 1500 homes and businesses lost to the fires in San Diego. 300,000 people were evacuated this week. Yet, the strength and commitment of our leaders and citizens turned a disaster into a model for others to follow!

El Camino Mausoleum - National City, CA : To help answer the question of the ages, "Where do we go when we die"? I have found one of the most beautiful mausoleums I have ever seen, and it is only 5 miles from home! Each shot was handheld, without any image stabilization.
I hope you enjoy these photos.

Your Bio

I have been taking photos since I was 8 years old. My first camera was a Kodak
Pony 828. I graduated to 620 film mostly black & white at the age of 12. One
day my dad brought home a 100' roll of 35mm B & W movie film and a very cool
half frame 35mm camera. I have loved learning from the pros and practicing the
craft. With the advent of digital, there was even more incentive to keep on
clicking! Semi-professional at different times in my life, I never lost my love
for photography. Now that retirement nears, I am ready to get serious and have
fun while I do it. I am currently completely weaned of film as I am truly a
nerd at heart. I look forward to your comments
For those of you who will be buying prints off my site, there are two important and easy to miss controls available when checking out. One is the crop tool and will help you fit the image to the selected paper size. This is a very powerful feature do not miss out! The other feature is 'Color'. You have the choice of Real and automatic. Real color, leaves the image un-altered and is printed as it currently configured. Auto is color corrected by the printing machine. Generally I would select Real unless you do not like the color cast. Check out my PhotoBog below for the inside story!
